Withypool is tucked away in the heart of Exmoor with beautiful landscapes and riverside walks. You can sit on the bank of the river Barle with your picnic or visit the lovely little tearoom with its homemade cakes. From here you can take a walk along the wooded valley of the River Barle to the well known Tarr Steps (4 miles) or have a go at pony trekking or fishing. Porlock, a pretty little coastal village, is only 10 miles away and offers tearooms, pubs, restaurants, and a selection of art galleries and independent shops. 16 miles away is Lynton & Lynmouth where the last remaining watered powered funicular railway connects the two villages. Entering the large farmhouse, you have the traditional farmhouse kitchen on the left which has everything you need to cook your favourite recipes for your friends and family, including an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and a microwave. A door takes you through to the snug room, full of character with its traditional beams, wood panelling, and a beautiful inglenook fireplace with a wood burner, comfortable sofas, and large chairs to sit and relax or to watch a movie together on the Smart TV. Across the hallway, there is a light and airy drawing room with stunning views over Exmoor. This room enjoys leather sofas and another Smart TV, where you will be able to snuggle up on the cooler evenings in front of the fireplace. There are two large cloakrooms with WC on the ground floor. There is a utility area with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and an oil fired Rayburn with an old traditional drying airer above. The Rayburn can be used as additional cooking equipment. A large boot room to leave your muddy boots and hang your coats is also available with plenty of storage for luggage and belongings. Heading up the staircase there are five bedrooms. The master en suite comprises a super king size bed and Smart TV, the en suite has a bath and a walk in shower and WC, this room also has a separate dressing room. There is a twin bedroom with a basin, a single bedroom adjacent, a double bedroom with a basin, and a queen bedroom with a basin. There are two family bathrooms one of which has a bath with shower attachment and WC and the other has a bath, walk in shower, and WC. All these spacious rooms are joined together by a large galleried landing which doubles up as the games room with a table football, board games, and another Smart TV as well as lots of comfortable seating to enjoy a few fun games together. Stepping outside into this delightful garden with views across Exmoor there is a large table with a parasol and a charcoal BBQ where you can spend your evenings relaxing on those warm nights watching the sunset over the moors. There is ample parking for four cars.
