Leyburn is a thriving market town situated in Wensleydale and is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The town also provides everything you need right on the doorstep, including family run grocery shops, country pubs, bakeries, and tearooms. Join the locals in the main square on Fridays to sample the best of the region's produce at the farmers market. The best way to explore this region is on foot, with routes leaving from the town centre in all directions. The first stop is the famous Leyburn Shawl, a limestone scar offering extensive views across the rolling hills of Wensleydale. From here, it is possible to walk to Bolton Castle, an exceptionally well preserved medieval castle. Railway enthusiasts can take a ride on the heritage Wensleydale Railway or hop on the Wensleydale Vintage Bus for a unique way to travel between the country towns. Head up the path and step inside this extremely welcoming Edwardian stone townhouse. Hang your coat in the hallway and make your way into the handsome lounge/diner which provides a good view from the bay window into the square outside. This is a great socialising space, and you can relax and unwind on one of the deep, comfy sofas after a long day exploring the Dales. Enjoy quality time with your family watching a film on the Smart TV or playing board games at the table. The kitchen is generously proportioned and is well stocked with everything you need to pack up a quick picnic or a full family feast, including a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee machine. When night draws in, head upstairs to bed for a peaceful night's sleep. There are four bedrooms to choose from, three are on the first floor: a king size, a double with an en suite shower and WC, and a twin room which enjoys views into the garden. Also on this floor is a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, and another shower room with a shower cubicle and WC. Open the landing door to find a set of stairs that leads you up to the top floor bedroom with a king size bed. All bedrooms have space for storing your belongings. Outside is a good sized garden with lawn and Yorkshire flagstone patio, adorned with a dining table and seating perfect for a summer BBQ with some of the local produce brought back from the market. If the weather gets a bit chilly, take your nightcap into the summerhouse and enjoy the last of the summer sun. You will find a handy outside WC in one of the outbuildings and a utility room with a washer/dryer perfect if you return muddy after a walk! There is parking for two medium sized cars to the rear of the property.
