Just 2 miles away is the olde worlde village of Cartmel and 0.5 miles away is the grand stately home of Holker Hall. Head to Grange over Sands (3.5 miles) to enjoy an ice cream and a stroll along the promenade or take a day trip to Windermere (17 miles), England s largest lake. The beautiful property has a gorgeous lounge to relax in after a busy day, to either watch TV or chat with your fellow guests. The space is stylish, with traditional slate flooring, vibrant soft furnishings, and a wood burner in a fabulous ornamental fireplace. Alternatively, if you re after a little peace and tranquillity, retreat to the cosy snug to curl up with a good book in front of the wood burner or to watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV. The sleek kitchen is a joy to cook in and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, wine fridge, washing machine and microwave. After preparing a delicious meal, come together around the large dining table in the bright and airy dining room. There s also a handy cloakroom with WC on the ground floor. Heading up to the first floor, you ll find four of the five exquisite bedrooms, all tastefully decorated with calm tones and flashes of colour to create a unique sense of style in each room. The super king size bedroom and the king size bedroom both boast window seats, so you can sit and watch the world go by whilst sipping your morning coffee. There s also a cosy double and a further king size with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Completing the first floor is the impressive family bathroom, which has a shower over an elegant clawfoot bath and a WC. On the second floor you ll find the fifth bedroom, which is a spacious twin. The room is full of charm, with a sloping ceiling and exposed beams (just watch out for the restricted head space in some areas) and has its own en suite shower room with WC. Outside, there s a small patio area with a bistro set, where you can enjoy a relaxing glass of wine at the end of a busy day. You ll also find endless walking opportunities in the countryside surrounding Cark. Roadside parking is available throughout the village.
