The lodge is situated just 3 miles from the picturesque market town of Rhyader, otherwise known as the outdoor capital of Wales. The town offers plenty of shops selling local produce, and places to eat and drink. You can also enjoy driving, walking, cycling, and canoeing around the Elan Valley (5 miles) and Claerwen Valley (8 miles), as well as experiencing breathtaking views. The magnificent red kites at the feeding centre (3 miles) are also a must see as well as the National Cycling Museum in Llandrindod Wells (9 miles). Stepping through the front door, you enter a bright and spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is a perfect place for socialising and relaxing after a busy day of hiking or cycling around the local area. The contemporary kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to create a tasty meal.
