Nestled in the North Devon countryside, this stylish detached cottage is the perfect retreat for families or friends. Located in the small Devon village of Newton Tracey, it is less than 200 metres from the village pub/restaurant making it ideal for a snack or Sunday lunch. Instow beach is only 5.3 miles and other spectacular beaches, all within 17 miles, include the award winning 3 mile long Woolacombe and Putsborough beaches as well as the huge sandy expanse of Saunton Sands. There is also the beautiful surfers paradise at Croyde, or the more family friendly Westward Ho! with its many activities and sea pool. The market town of Barnstaple (5 miles) has plenty of shops and places to eat, whilst the port town of Bideford (4 miles) has a busy quayside, art gallery and a large park. Other attractions include RHS Rosemoor Gardens and The North Devon Wake Park, where you can enjoy supervised water sports, both within 18 miles. As you enter through the light hallway, you will see that this cottage has been well designed with underfloor heating, exposed oak beams, traditional curved Devon plastering, and a number of contemporary, eye catching pieces of artwork which make this house rather impressive, yet at the same time, homely. The kitchen/diner can be found on your left which has everything you could possibly need to cater for your stay, a large dining table and chairs allow everyone to be able to eat together and a casual sofa at one end allows you and your guests to chat whilst cooking. Bi fold doors open from the dining area onto the patio and garden, allowing you to extend the space further and enjoy meals alfresco. Just off the kitchen/diner is a utility room. Back through the hallway is a study equipped with a desk, monitor and sofa bed which is handy for anyone having to work while away. There is also a handy ground floor WC and a door from the hallway leads to the garage with a small gym/workout area which you are welcome to use. Last, but certainly not least, is the fabulous lounge with a large feature fireplace, comfy sofas and chairs, a warming wood burner, Smart TV, and bi folding doors which open out onto the private rear garden area. Heading up the staircase there are four bedrooms. First is the super king size with an en suite shower room with WC. It has high beamed ceilings, a lovely seating area in front of a large picture window where you can quietly sit and read if you wish, and a Juliet balcony offering superb countryside views. Moving on are a further two king size bedrooms, one with an en suite shower room with WC. The final bedroom is a pretty twin room. The family bathroom completes the accommodation with a beautiful freestanding slipper bath to enjoy a good soak after a busy day. Heading outside through the bi fold doors from the lounge or the kitchen/diner, is an enclosed west facing patio with garden furniture. A charcoal BBQ is available during the warmer months to enjoy al fresco dining on those lovely summer evenings whilst watching the sunset. As well as the small gym/workout area in the garage, there are also body boards and wetsuits also available for you to use and return.
