This family-owned cottage boasts a rich history, originally constructed as a holiday home by the Vicar of Newlands, the great-grandfather of the current owners. It has been thoughtfully renovated to blend contemporary comforts with its historical charm. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a gravel driveway leading to a sheltered porch, where they can easily store muddy boots and coats in the utility room, equipped with modern amenities including a washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining area, positioned in front of floor-to-ceiling windows, allows guests to enjoy breathtaking views while dining, with French doors that open to a private patio for al fresco meals. The cottage also accommodates two additional double bedrooms and a shower room, ensuring ample space for all guests. Outside, the private back garden offers a tranquil retreat, complete with a sheltered patio area, rough grassland, and the soothing sounds of a nearby stream, providing a perfect backdrop for relaxation.

The front garden of the cottage is equally enchanting, featuring a solid slate picnic table that overlooks the lawn and lake beyond. In spring, the garden bursts into color with blooming daffodils, bluebells, and azaleas. A winding path leads to a small pebble beach along the lakeshore, where guests can unwind and appreciate stunning views of Otter Island and the surrounding fells. The secluded nature of the garden, sheltered by woodlands, creates a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for enjoying wildlife sightings, including deer and owls at dusk.
