Situated just 1 mile from Alness, you will find easy access to local shops, cafes, and restaurants. For a city day out, Inverness is only 20 miles away and the historic Culloden Moor (24 miles) is also well worth a visit. There are many Highland Games and shows held in the region throughout the months of July and August each year. The Black Isle Show is one of these, the largest agricultural show in the north of Scotland, drawing thousands of people to the area. With the beautiful village and beaches of Dornoch 20 miles away and some fantastic golf courses close by, there is something for everyone. Set high on the hillside overlooking the small town of Alness with beautiful views across the Cromarty Firth, this traditional cottage offers spacious accommodation for families and friends holidaying together. With two lounge areas, there is ample space for everyone to spread out, whether it s for some quiet time reading or for allowing the kids to have a chill out zone with their own movie whilst snuggling in front of the cosy wood burner. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, a twin and a king size, with an adjacent family bathroom. The kitchen/diner has beautiful granite worktops and is equipped with everything the chef of the household would need to rustle up a meal, which can be enjoyed by all seated around the dining table. There is also a separate utility room that is accessed via the back door. The first floor encompasses one twin bedroom and one double, and an adjacent shower room. The garden area is on two different levels, with an enclosed grassed area above and an enclosed patio complete with garden furniture. There is also a charcoal BBQ available, making it a great entertaining space in good weather.
