The cottage, which underwent restoration in 2016, seamlessly blends modern comforts with its original charm. The conversion of the old stables has resulted in a spacious open-plan living area featuring a large kitchen, dining space, and a vaulted ceiling adorned with beams. Bi-fold doors open to the lush lawned garden and the enchanting woodland, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. A cozy snug with a wood-burning stove offers a perfect spot for evening relaxation, while practical amenities, including a downstairs shower room and a utility room, enhance the cottage's functionality.
Accommodating up to eight guests, Bears Cottage includes a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom on the ground floor, providing a private space for some members of the party. The upper level features three additional bedrooms, two equipped with king-size beds and wash basins, alongside a children’s twin bedroom. A spacious family bathroom, complete with a freestanding claw-footed bath, adds a touch of luxury to the cottage's offerings. The thoughtful layout ensures comfort and convenience for all guests, making it a perfect family getaway.
For entertainment, a separate games room barn is available, equipped with table tennis, encouraging guests to engage in fun activities. The cottage is pet-friendly, allowing up to three well-behaved dogs for a small additional charge, making it an inclusive retreat for all family members. While Wi-Fi is provided, guests should note that mobile phone signal is limited, encouraging a true escape into nature.
