The comprehensively equipped kitchen and pantry (to the rear of the kitchen) provide an abundance of storage and everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay. The spacious breakfast area has a farmhouse table and chairs to accommodate the whole group. There is a large laundry/boot room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer and plenty of space to hang clothes. For convenience, there is also a separate cloakroom with washbasin and sink.
Accessed directly from the kitchen through the latched wooden door is an open plan room naturally zoned into three sections, having a formal dining area featuring an exposed stone fire surround, a cosy reading nook and a spacious sitting area with lots of comfy seating and a Smart TV. This room offers plenty of options to relax and unwind for everyone. From the living room, ascend the stairs to the half landing. Here, you will find a delightful double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a rear door to the garden. Ascend a second set of stairs to three further bedrooms, the master bedroom having an additional sitting area, Smart TV, and enormous en-suite bathroom. The fell views from all bedrooms are breath taking! Also on this floor is a spacious family bathroom and office, suitable for anyone needing to check in on work from time to time.
Outside, Saul Hill’s gardens are a haven for nature, with different areas to relax and reconnect with all sorts of wildlife - from nesting tawny owls to roe deer, buzzards, hares, squirrels, and a range of winged visitors including curlews, skylarks, bees, and butterflies. If you love the great outdoors there are a few spectacular fells within a short drive or you can take a popular hike up Potter Fell from your doorstep. If you plan to bring your bikes along to enjoy the many popular cycling routes in the area, and there is a cycle store.
The popular market town of Kendal is within easy driving distance of Saul Hill. More than a market town on the edge of the Lakes, there’s always something to do in Kendal – whatever the weather. This includes indulgent shopping experiences, incredible food and drink, adventurous activities, and leisurely strolls with wonderful views all around. Events and festivals are an excellent way to experience Kendal’s unique culture and you can reach Windermere and Ambleside in less than 30 minutes by car. Saul Hill is located on the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’, providing easy access to the M6, Lake District, and Yorkshire Dales. This makes it an ideal holiday retreat and touring base.
