Outside, Saul Hill’s gardens are a haven for nature, with different areas to relax and reconnect with all sorts of wildlife - from nesting tawny owls to roe deer, buzzards, hares, squirrels, and a range of winged visitors including curlews, skylarks, bees, and butterflies. If you love the great outdoors there are a few spectacular fells within a short drive or you can take a popular hike up Potter Fell from your doorstep. If you plan to bring your bikes along to enjoy the many popular cycling routes in the area, and there is a cycle store.
The popular market town of Kendal is within easy driving distance of Saul Hill. More than a market town on the edge of the Lakes, there’s always something to do in Kendal – whatever the weather. This includes indulgent shopping experiences, incredible food and drink, adventurous activities, and leisurely strolls with wonderful views all around. Events and festivals are an excellent way to experience Kendal’s unique culture and you can reach Windermere and Ambleside in less than 30 minutes by car. Saul Hill is located on the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’, providing easy access to the M6, Lake District, and Yorkshire Dales. This makes it an ideal holiday retreat and touring base.

The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.
The property has a septic tank drainage system.
One or more beds can be linked to form double or twin beds (please advise the owner of your preference prior to arrival).

Located in Kendal, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park. Lakeland Climbing Centre and Kendal Museum are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding nearby.
