Ty Newydd is located just near to Llyn Geirionydd, a lake where water sports including sailing and water skiing are permitted. There is a jetty close by too if you wish to bring your own boat. Guests interested in fishing will find an excellent lake in nearby Lyn Crafnant, which is walking distance from the house. Fishing is not permitted at Geirionydd.
The nearest town is 15 minutes by car. Llanwrst is a traditional Welsh market town, which as you can imagine is a wonderful place to source local food. There’s a superb butcher, delicatessen, wine shop and several great restaurants to eat. Asha was recently awarded ‘Welsh Curry House of the Year’ and people travel from far and away to eat there. Nearby Betws y Coed is regarded by many as the gateway to Snowdonia and is always a popular destination for walkers and explorers.
Bedrooms: Three bedrooms. One King size double on the first floor with en suite bathroom. One double bedroom on the first floor. The Twin room is on the first floor but accessed by separate stairs at the other end of the house. It is possible to make an extra single bed up in here to accommodate a 7thperson
Bathrooms: 1 first floor bathroom with bath, shower, WC, basin, towel rail. (This is the ensuite for the master bedroom.) 1 first floor shower room with WC, basin and walk in shower.
Kitchen: Fitted Kitchen with Electric cooker and hob, Fridge/freezer, microwave, Dishwasher and washing machine.
Sitting Room: Comfy seating for 6 guests, TV, DVD, SKY+ HD, and an inglenook fireplace with log burner.
Dining: Open plan dining area with sitting room. Dining table seating 6 people.
Games Room: TV, Playstation 3, board games.
Garden: There is a garden surrounding the house with a dwarf wall boundary. A small stream flows through the garden down to the lake. There is also a few outbuildings which are out of bounds for guests. These contain the services for the house and the well water supply for the house .The water is supplied from a natural spring and is UV treated. Beautiful, fresh welsh water ready to drink!
Heating: The house has underfloor heating and a log burner in the sitting room (1 basket of logs supplied to get you started)
Parking: There is plenty of off road parking in the private parking area close to the house.
