Y Granar is a former converted granary is set on an organic farm in the beautiful Conwy valley just a mile from the historic town of Conwy with its castle and quay. Just a short drive to the coast and Snowdonia this is a wonderful place for families and walkers alike. Recently renovated, along with three other dwelling to create four magnificent holiday cottages. Situated in the Conwy Valley, surrounded by peaceful countryside and only a short distance away from the town of Conwy, Y Granar can sleep up to 7 people in 4 bedrooms.

The cottage is found on an organic working farm, where sheep and Welsh Black cattle are raised. Each of the four cottages is designed to offer personal privacy and all have a wide view of the valley, and Bryn Dowse is no exception. This is the perfect spot for a family vacation, giving kids the opportunity to observe animals and discover farm life throughout the four seasons.

This original granary contains many traditional elements, such as exposed beams and lintels. The property has been consistently renovated throughout the years. It contains four bedrooms, two of which have an ensuite bathroom, and there is a family bathroom also. Downstairs, there is a large kitchen-diner, a lounge with the log-burner fireplace in a peaceful sitting room.

Additionally on site there is a shared laundry room containing washing machine & tumble dryer, a secure 5/6 person sauna with shower and changing facilities and a heated games room (table tennis etc) with internet access available for use by all the cottages.

Bed linen and towels are provided, as well as an initial supply of logs for the log fire. In regards to electricity, the owner does not include electricity in the rental charge, and it is an extra via meter reading payable directly to the owner, but absolutely as per usage at supplier cost price.

One of four farm based properties in the Conwy Valley, in secluded countryside, yet only a little over a mile from the walls of Conwy town . Bryn Dowsi is a working organic farm with sheep and Welsh Black cattle. The original farmhouse and four building conversions are on the same site, and each property is oriented to ensure its own privacy and all have open views over the valley.

The Conwy Valley is an intriguing area, very different to the rough, tough rocky mountains of neighbouring Snowdonia. The River Conwy flows through a broad, sheltered vale carpeted with rich farmland. It’s flanked on the west by thick forests and to the east by the heather moors and woods of Hiraethog (otherwise known as the Denbigh Moors), a huge expanse of unexplored upland. All in all, it’s an area of great variety, with tumbling falls, wooded gorges, mountain lakes, high moorland and a charming stretch of the North Wales coast. There’s also a great choice of places to stay – everything from traditional market towns and villages to seaside resorts.
