Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Town: Upton Cross is a small Cornish village originally housing miners but now a quiet retreat set in rolling countryside on the edge of Bodmin Moor. From here there is easy access to some of Bodmin Moor’s most striking features, including the Cheesewrings, Sharp Tor and the engine houses at Minions, as well as Kitt Hill and Caradon Hill. The village has a traditional 17th century pub serving good food and a Post Office. Both coasts are within easy reach, from the crashing surf of the north coast to the clear waters and fishing villages of the south. Siblyback Lake, 6 miles away, offers angling and water sports, and there is salmon and trout fishing available on local rivers. Upton Cross has its own open air theatre offering a varied programmed through the season. A village in the heart of Cornwall, ideal for getting away from it all.

Located in Liskeard, this cottage is in a rural area. The Hurlers and Stuart House Arts and Heritage Centre are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Tamar Valley. Adrenalin Quarry and Kartworld are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and hiking.
