Thrang Close is a charming property situated on the edge of Chapel Stile in the Langdale Valley. The house is presently having some renovation work being carried out to include a new kitchen and bathroom. All work to be completed for Easter 2019. We will update pictures with internal shots as soon as it is ready.

The house is set in an impressive garden which includes a pond, carefully planted with many paths and walkways for you to explore and enjoy the lavish surroundings. The views across the valley from this lovely garden will help you to relax and unwind in this beautiful part of the Lake District, a hide and seek paradise for children to explore.

The house will comfortably accommodate 6 (2 x double and 1 x twin room), 2 bathrooms of which one is ensuite, and ample parking space for 3 cars.

There is a lounge area and separate dining room each with great views of the Langdale pikes.

I won't be available in person, but feel free to contact me with any questions. Also my Wheelwrights team are on hand throughout your stay, from our office in Elterwater, should you need anything.

The heart of the village is just a short stroll away. In the village you can find the well stocked local convenience store -the Langdale Coop, Brambles Cafe, and the Village Church – The Great Langdale Holy Trinity, and The Wainwrights Inn which sells local brewed ales and provides good homemade food. The famous climbers inn The Old Dungeon Ghyll, New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, and Stickle Barn Tavern (now owned by the National Trust) are just up the Langdale Valley.

The property is on a main bus route which regularly runs between Ambleside and Great Langdale. Elterwater, the famous Britannia Inn and Elterwater Cafe are a short stroll away, with a fabulous walk along the river. The cottage is also handily placed to access the Langdale Valley, 4 miles from Ambleside and close to neighbouring villages of Grasmere and Hawkshead.
