The town is rich in maritime history, with highlights including the modern marina, a 150-year-old lighthouse, and a statue of Coleridge’s Ancient Mariner, all perfect for leisurely walks along the quay. Additionally, visitors can explore two museums: the Market House Museum, which delves into the town's history, and the Boat Museum, showcasing local flat-bottomed boats and rope-making exhibits.
