Lui Cottage and Vorlich Cottage are charming accommodations situated within the historic 18th-century watermill known as The Lorn Mill, part of a traditional Scottish farm steading in Dunbartonshire, Argyll. Nestled within a sprawling 10-acre private estate, the cottages overlook the breathtaking Loch Lomond and its majestic mountain scenery, making this location both unique and picturesque. Guests can enjoy a private tennis court set in the garden, providing an opportunity for leisure while being surrounded by stunning views that might distract from the game. The property is conveniently located in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park, ensuring a tranquil retreat.

Access to the cottages is via a private track that offers an impressive first glimpse of Loch Lomond as visitors approach. Ample private parking is available upon arrival. Lui Cottage features an entrance hall, a double bedroom with an ensuite shower room, and an open-plan kitchen/sitting room, making it an ideal romantic getaway for couples. In contrast, Vorlich Cottage is designed to accommodate four guests, with an entrance hall, an open-plan kitchen/dining room that seats six, and a downstairs bedroom that can be configured as a double or twin. The upstairs area includes a sitting room with a log-burning stove and views of the tennis court and mountains, along with a kingsized bedroom and ensuite shower room.

Both cottages have undergone a complete refurbishment, showcasing mellow colors, new tiles, carpets, and kitchens, all adorned with original and limited edition art that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each cottage is equipped with modern amenities, including power showers, heated towel rails, underfloor heating, and access to a small laundry room. The property benefits from oil-fired central heating and a private spring water supply that is regularly tested for quality. Though free Wi-Fi is available, guests should be prepared for slower internet speeds. The surrounding area offers an array of walking opportunities, with trails leading to the Loch shore and the nearby town of Balloch.

Balloch, located approximately four miles away, offers a range of conveniences, including a railway station, supermarkets, cash machines, pubs, and restaurants, as well as a Tourist Information Centre. The region is rich in natural beauty and cultural experiences, with day trips available to Glen Coe, Oban, and Fort William, as well as visits to local galleries, castles, and distilleries. The cottages provide all-inclusive amenities, including linen, towels, electricity, and heating, with welcome goodies and fresh garden flowers awaiting guests upon arrival. The owners are committed to ensuring a memorable stay, which is why many guests return to enjoy the exceptional location and comfortable accommodations. Please note that during peak summer weeks, only weekly bookings are accepted, and pets are not permitted. The cottages are closed for Christmas and New Year.
