Hartland Peninsula is ideal for those who enjoy country walks, as there are miles of walks available direct from the property s front door, including access to the South West Coastal Path, with its clifftop views. There is a secluded beach just a one mile walk from the property, however if you want to enjoy a traditional day at the beach, with soft sand and a range of facilities, the beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are both within fifteen miles of the property. Although the property feels remote, the charming village of Hartland is 3 miles away, offering a range of shops and eateries. This property occupies one wing of an unusual 17th century fortified farmhouse, which has been lovingly cared for over the years and maintains some lovely original features alongside modern conveniences. On entering the property, guests come first to the spacious hallway with its attractive tiled floor and a small desk, perfect if guests need to catch up with emails whilst on holiday. A door from the hallway leads to the property s lounge, a relaxing retreat with deep sofas, cosy throws, Smart TV with DVD and a warming wood burner effect electric fire. Another door off the hallway brings guests to the spacious kitchen/diner, an attractive mix of old and new, where the inglenook fireplace (which now houses the oven), and beamed ceiling sit alongside a contemporary dining table. Guests will find everything they need here, including a range style electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Stairs from the hallway lead to a light filled landing with a library of books, and onto the first floor accommodation, where there are three delightful bedrooms, one with a courtyard view and two with countryside views. The first bedroom is a spacious king size room with a small en suite shower room, there is also a king size room and a pretty twin.The bathroom, also on the first floor, has a roll top bath, large separate walk in shower and WC. Outside, the property has a private courtyard garden with a hot tub for 6 people and garden furniture. There is handy area which can be used for washing bikes, dogs, surfboards and wellies.
