Holly Farm Cottage is a delightful double-fronted holiday home situated in the picturesque village of Buckton, East Riding of Yorkshire. This charming retreat, which accommodates up to six guests across three well-appointed bedrooms, is ideally located just a short distance from the coastal path and the RSPB bird reserve at Bempton. The surrounding area offers numerous walking and cycling routes, including breathtaking views from the 400ft high cliffs along the Flamborough Heritage Headland, where visitors can spot puffins and, occasionally, dolphins and seals.
Upon arrival at Holly Farm Cottage, guests can conveniently unload at the front door before parking in one of the two private off-road spaces at the rear of the property. The interior features a welcoming central hallway that leads to a bright and airy lounge, complete with a cozy woodburning stove, perfect for relaxation after a day of exploration. The open-plan kitchen diner is well-equipped with modern amenities, including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, and dishwasher, making meal preparation a breeze. Guests can enjoy dining together at the ample seating area for six, or take advantage of the serene rear garden for alfresco meals during warmer months.
As night falls, guests can retreat to the first floor, where a luxurious family bathroom awaits, featuring stylish marble tiles and an overhead shower. The three tastefully decorated bedrooms include a kingsize room with an en-suite, a double room, and a twin room that can be converted into a superking. Each bedroom is equipped with a smart television, allowing guests to unwind with their favorite shows before drifting off to sleep. For those looking to enjoy a night out, the local village pub, The White Horse Inn, offers delicious meals and the chance to catch live music, providing a taste of the local culture.
