Situated in the High Peak on the western edge of the Peak District National Park Brow Farm Cottage is attached to the owners farmhouse which is set in 18 acres of private land with spectacular views and walks from the doorstep. The cottage benefits from its own private entrance, parking and enclosed garden. The cottage was converted from a former piggery and barn and contains much of its original character but with a fresh and modern twist. The entrance doors to the cottage lead into a stunning open hall with beamed ceiling and gallery. Off the hallway are 2 bedrooms one a double and one twin and a family bathroom containing both bath and shower cubicle. 4 steps lead down to a the open plan kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and utility area with washing machine. The dining area is attached to the kitchen, a comfortable family space with farmhouse table and chairs seating 6, bar stools at the breakfast bar and a sofa and TV. The ground floor benefits from underfloor heating. Doors lead out into the private enclosed garden with lawn and seating area and magnificent views reaching as far as Kinder Scout. Upstairs in the cottage on one side is the master double bedroom which has an en-suite shower room and toilet. Opposite, the galleried lounge has TV and dvd and magnificent views from the window. Wifi is available throughout the cottage. Brow Farm is set in the centre of 18 acres of private land and is home to sheep, horses, chickens, guinea pigs and the owner's 3 Labradors. The farm is only a 10 minute walk from New Mills town centre with its independent shops, pubs and cafes as well as the award winning Millenium Walkway, Torrs Riverside Park, Peak Forest Canal and the Sett Valley trail. For walkers, dogs and cyclists the cottage is ideally situated with numerous walks and rides straight from the doorstep with Kinder Scout, Chinley Head, the Goyt Valley and Edale all within easy reach. The tourist attractions of Hayfield (scene of the TV series 'The Village'), Buxton, Castleton and the plague village of Eyam are all within a 25 minute drive.The farm is a half mile walk from New Mills Central station on the Hope Valley line with links to Sheffield and Manchester. For a change of scene the vibrant and bustling city centre of Manchester with its many tourist attractions, restaurants and bars is only a 30 minute journey by train. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at Brow Farm for an additional fee of £20 per dog. Short breaks are available throughout the year.
