Wroxham, Norfolk

This delightful country holiday home, situated in the serene village of Honing in Wroxham, Norfolk, serves as an excellent base for exploring the captivating Norfolk coast and its picturesque countryside. Accommodating up to six guests, the cottage is particularly well-suited for dog walking enthusiasts, with the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just a short distance away. Nearby attractions include the iconic Happisburgh lighthouse, as well as the sandy beaches of Bacton and Mundesley, which offer stunning views of the North Sea and English Channel. For those seeking a traditional seaside experience, the resort town of Cromer provides ample family fun, including a theatre located right on the pier.

The Norfolk Broads, renowned for their beautiful waterways, are also easily accessible, providing opportunities for boat hire and exploration. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the historical and natural splendor of the National Trust sites, Felbrigg and Blickling Hall, both of which are a short drive from the cottage. This strategic location not only offers a wealth of outdoor activities but also a chance to immerse oneself in the local culture and history, making it an ideal getaway for nature lovers and families alike.

Upon entering the charming cottage, guests are welcomed into a cozy lounge area, furnished with a two-seater sofa and four chairs, creating a comfortable space to relax. The lounge also features a folding dining table and chairs for six, a small Smart TV, and a wood burner, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploration. The first evening's log supply is conveniently placed on the hearth, adding to the inviting atmosphere. The lounge seamlessly connects to a well-equipped kitchen, complete with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, ensuring that guests have all the amenities they need for a pleasant stay.

On the ground floor, a shower room with a shower, basin, and WC provides added convenience. The first floor hosts three small double bedrooms, along with a second shower room. However, it is important to note that the steep and narrow spiral staircase may pose challenges for guests with mobility issues. Access to the enclosed garden area is available from the kitchen, where guests can enjoy al fresco dining amidst the cottage garden's tranquil surroundings. While the garden is a lovely feature, it is worth mentioning that it is not suitable for children under seven due to the presence of a wildlife pond, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
