The cottage is accessed via a short gravel lane and is surrounded by farmland, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere with minimal nearby buildings, primarily consisting of infrequently used farm storage. Guests can take advantage of the extensive network of footpaths that begin right at the doorstep, offering delightful low-level walks through the stunning landscape. The traditional Lakeland porch welcomes visitors into a spacious entrance hall, perfect for storing coats and boots after a day of exploration.
Inside, the cozy lounge features a wood burner and a large L-shaped sofa, providing an inviting space to unwind after outdoor activities. With exposed beams, deep-set windows, and modern amenities such as a TV/DVD, CD player, and Alexa, this room is designed for relaxation. Across the hall, the kitchen/diner is fully equipped with essential appliances, including an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine. The large farmhouse table encourages family meals and gatherings, while a traditional larder at the back offers additional storage, including a tumble dryer and a spacious fridge/freezer.
Upstairs, the cottage boasts three comfortable bedrooms, including a master king-size room with an en suite shower room. The second bedroom features a versatile king-size zip-and-link bed, which can be configured as two twin beds upon request, while the third bedroom is a twin. The family bathroom is equipped with a shower over the bath. Outside, guests can relax on the gravelled terrace, taking in breathtaking views of Blelham Tarn and the surrounding mountains, all while enjoying the tranquility of this unique location. Off-road parking for up to four cars is conveniently available in the gravelled yard, although it should be noted that the access lane is steep and narrow in parts.
