Located in the heart of the historic town of Winchelsea, the property is within walking distance of the local pub, shop, and medieval church. Winchelsea Beach is just a short drive away where guests can enjoy long walks along the pebbles and can see the preserved petrified forest at low tide. The medieval town of Rye is less than 3 miles away and boasts independent cafes, shops, and restaurants. For those wishing to explore slightly further afield, Camber Sands beach and nearby Hastings make for great family days out. Guests can also enjoy an abundance of local footpaths that meander the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making this the perfect location for keen walkers and cyclists. The front door leads through into a welcoming hallway with space for dropping off coats and shoes before heading through to the spacious lounge/diner. The cosy lounge area offers a comfortable sofa, armchair and rocking chair in which to relax whilst watching the Smart TV with Netflix provided or enjoying a good book in front of the wood burner on a chilly evening. The dining area is light and airy and overlooks the garden, and offers a great space to enjoy family meals around the farmhouse table and chairs. The traditional cottage kitchen is located just off the dining area and is fully equipped with a range style cooker with a gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. The ground floor is completed by a shower room with a walk in shower and WC. Heading up to the first floor, you will find the first of the bedrooms: two super king bedrooms (can be made into twin beds on request). The family bathroom is also located on this first floor and offers a beautiful original French copper bath with a handheld shower attachment and a WC.Heading up to the second floor, in the eaves of the cottage you will find the third bedroom which is a king size room. Outside, there is a fully enclosed garden with an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, sink, and charcoal BBQ; various seating areas to enjoy the sunshine all day; a table and chairs for enjoying al fresco meal; a fire pit for cosy evenings, and a climbing frame to keep the children entertained. There is unrestricted roadside parking available outside the property, subject to availability.
