Make the 5 mile trip to Pooley Bridge, on the tip of Ullswater, where you can board a boat for a leisurely (dog friendly) cruise across the water. Hop off and explore the wonderful Aira Force waterfall to make it a day to remember. Lace up your boots and enjoy walks from your door, or journey 12 miles to Glenridding, the gateway to the majestic mountain of Helvellyn. After adventurous days, stroll from your door and enjoy the local pub and restaurant where you can treat yourselves to a tipple and walk back home. Walk under the archway, through the porch and into this inviting home. With handy space to leave boots, the porch doubles up as storage space for outerwear and offers somewhere to sit. The lounge/diner is a beautiful space where you can spend lots of time. Cosy up by the wood burner, switch on the Smart TV or Blu ray, and settle down on the comfortable sofas.. Boasting farmhouse charm and style, the kitchen also has a breakfast table where you can dine together. Step up to reach the dishwasher, a large traditional larder, microwave, electric oven and halogen hobs, fridge and freezer. A second wood burner in this space will keep your chef warm and the sandstone wall adds even more charm. With a dining table for six, enjoy time spent eating communal meals here. There is also a washer dryer located in the outbuilding. Upstairs, three bedrooms provide lovely, tranquil spots to rest your head. The master bedroom has a king size bed and gorgeous views. Two twin bedrooms are decorated in calming tones with hints of colour to ease you off to sleep. Wake up and enjoy a soak in the family bathroom with WC or rinse off in the shower over the bath. Take a drink outside and spend time in the enclosed garden handy if you re bringing a dog. You can also dine alfresco when the weather allows. Please note there is shared access through the garden to the cottage next door. You can also sit at the table and chairs in the porch. You can unload outside the cottage on the road and the nearest parking is at the village hall.
