This charming cottage enjoys a central position in a pretty location, overlooking the village green and maypole. The village of Long Preston boasts two pubs, a village shop and a railway station that provides access to the famous Settle Carlisle Railway which crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring scenery in the country. Explore the market towns of Settle or Skipton (both within 12 miles) where you can browse the cobbled streets and explore the many shops and eateries, or visit the medieval Skipton Castle. With an abundance of walks and cycle routes straight from the doorstep, head up into the Yorkshire Dales and explore the stunning scenery. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove (12 miles) and Brimham Rocks (30 miles) are well worth a visit, as is the Lake District and Forest of Bowland both within 35 miles for a day out. Stepping into this traditional cottage you will feel instantly at home. The lounge retains many original features with beams throughout and you can look forward to snuggling up on the sofa with loved ones in front of the log burner and watch a film on the smart TV with Blu ray/DVD player or listen to the DAB/Bluetooth radio. The delightful dining area is the ideal space for all of the family to socialise and enjoy a home cooked meal, including a coal effect fire as the perfect finish. The farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with everything you could need including a gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and coffee machine. There is also a useful breakfast bar where you can enjoy a snack before heading out for the day. When it is time to retire for the evening, head upstairs and find three cosy bedrooms, two king size, one with an en suite shower room with shower and WC, and one twin (which can be made into a super king size on request at the time of booking). To complete this charming cottage is a family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Moving outside you will find a rear, enclosed terrace with garden furniture. The property also benefits from a quaint enclosed courtyard off the lounge, the ideal space to sit in the morning and indulge in a coffee or a book whilst enjoying a little peace and quiet. There is parking for one car at the front of the cottage and further on street parking (subject to availability).
