Hassop, Bakewell and the Peak District offer an array of places to go and things to do, ranging from attractions such as Chatsworth or Haddon Hall to visiting the numerous surrounding market towns and villages, sampling the delights of the local markets or exploring everything the great outdoors has to offer. The nearby town of Bakewell is one of the most visited towns in the Peak District, offering a wide range of shops, cafes, galleries, pubs and restaurants. Cyclists will love this area, as Bakewell lies at the start of the Monsal Trail, one of three car free walking and cycling trails in this part of the Peak District which runs along the valley of the River Wye. Guests enter this stunning lodge arriving in the lobby which to your right leads to the kitchen/diner area. The kitchen is well equipped boasting an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Should you wish to dine in with friends or family then there is a table along with six chairs providing an ideal place to exchange stories over a nice meal. The lounge is next where most of the original character have been maintained, along with two comfortable sofas, a TV and an open fire for those chilly evenings, this provides the perfect environment to relax with friends and family alike. There are two ground floor bedrooms, both of which are king size zip and link (which can be made into 2ft 6 twins on request) and the third bedroom is on the first floor, a double room with an en suite bathroom, with bath, shower attachment and WC. The ground floor shower room with shower and WC is located off from the lobby as you enter the property. The outside garden area is to the rear of the property, with its very own viewing mound so you can gaze out towards the stunning peak district, there is outdoor seating for all the guests and a charcoal BBQ, should they wish to enjoy some al fresco dining in the sunshine. There is off road parking for two cars.
