The cottage is situated in a fantastic spot in Eskdale Green, a picturesque Cumbria village which is home to the lovely Japanese Garden in the forest of Giggle Alley. The village makes a great base for cyclists, walkers, climbers and nature lovers exploring the Esk Valley with its stunning fells, deep pools, lush woodlands and friendly pubs along the way. From Irton Road Station you can take the La al Ratty steam train through to the coastal village of Ravenglass (6.5 miles). Staying in the valley, you can climb Muncaster Fell (3 miles), see Stanley Ghyll Waterfall (5 miles), visit Muncaster Castle (7 miles) or head to Scafell Pike (10 miles). Activities include kayaking, canoeing, climbing, paddleboarding climbing and ghyll scrambling. Entering this refreshing, bright and tastefully decorated cottage, the lounge/diner provides an ideal space for you all to relax at the end of a lovely day. The comfortable seating is arranged around the warming wood burner and Smart TV, making this a perfect spot for snuggling up and enjoying a favourite movie. The dining area is ideal for sharing a family meal which you can rustle up in the spacious and stylishly deigned kitchen which is fully equipped with a double electric oven and separate hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there are two charming bedrooms. The light and airy master bedroom has glorious views, plenty of storage space and a double bed. There s also a cosy twin room with far reaching valley views. This floor also features a stylish family bathroom complete with bath, walk in shower and WC. Heading upstairs to the second floor, you will find a further bedroom. Set in the eaves of the house, this room has a low sloping ceiling, exposed beams, a useful desk and a double bed. Stepping outside, the pretty patio garden to the side of the cottage makes a delightful spot for a morning coffee, or you could sit back in the charming front garden and watch the world go by. The cottage also has a handy outhouse with a utility area featuring a washing machine and tumble dryer. The outhouse also has a useful boot room and a shower room complete with shower and WC. Private parking is available for one car on the road.
