This pretty period thatched cottage is in one of the best places to surf in the UK, in the very heart of Croyde village. Backed by sand dunes, stunning walks and a plethora of independent restaurants, pubs and shops, you have everything you need to make unforgettable memories. Neighbouring beaches such as Saunton, Woolacombe and Putsborough are within 6 miles. Only 2.5 miles away is Saunton Golf Club which offers stunning views and 36 holes of beautiful golf links. For walking enthusiasts, you will be spoilt for choice with the South West Coast Path within 1 mile, and if you want to venture a bit further, you have Exmoor National Park with its magical woodlands and moorlands 25 miles away. If you re seeking adventure, why not give coasteering or paddleboarding a go, with classes locally in Croyde and in Ilfracombe just 9 miles away. On arrival at this characterful cottage, you enter the hallway where you can leave your muddy boots and sandy shoes behind. The delightful lounge, which is full of charm and original features, has large comfortable modern sofas to relax on after a busy fun filled day at the beach. You can play board games and cards or watch a favourite movie together on the TV (Amazon stick and DVD player provided). The quirky kitchen is a great space with patio doors and is a lovely sunny spot to dine in. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up your favourite recipes, including an electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, filter coffee machine and a washer/dryer, along with an Alexa speaker to keep the fun going! From the kitchen, you can enter two of the bedrooms: access to the twin room is up a small wide ladder; the other bedroom is down a few steps, and this is a double bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and WC located on the downstairs floor with a suspended airer which is great for wetsuits. Heading upstairs, there is a large bedroom with a king size bed. There is also a walk in shower and WC. Head outside into the pretty slate walled courtyard from the patio doors. There are comfortable seats and a charcoal BBQ where you can sit and relax in the little suntrap and dine alfresco or enjoy breakfast in the morning whilst planning your day ahead. There is storage for surfboards and an outside tap/hosepipe to wash your wetsuits down. There is allocated parking for one car and a large public car park nearby (subject to availability and charges apply).
