A highlight of the area is the chance to sample the local delicacy, Craster Kippers, and to explore the stunning coastal path leading to the historic 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle.

The coastal walk from Craster to Low Newton along Embleton Sands is particularly breathtaking, offering a rewarding experience that culminates at the Ship Inn, a beach pub with its own microbrewery. For those interested in gardens and history, Howick Hall Gardens, the ancestral home of Earl Grey, is located less than three miles from the cottage and features delightful tea rooms. Additionally, Alnwick Castle and its renowned gardens are just seven miles inland, providing further opportunities for exploration and enjoyment.

Upon entering the property, guests are welcomed into a warm and inviting sunroom, perfect for leaving boots and coats, or simply relaxing with a book or morning coffee. The country-style kitchen is well-equipped for meal preparation, featuring a long dining table, electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a coffee machine, alongside a washing machine.
