The cottage is set within rolling Lake District countryside on the outskirts of picture postcard Cartmel. The world famous village is home to a magnificent 800 year old priory, a renowned three star Michelin restaurant, and arguably the country s most beautiful racecourse. Famous for its sticky toffee pudding, Cartmel is packed with pretty pubs, places to eat, speciality shops, and quaint cobbled areas; the stunning riverside location is a mecca for discerning visitors. Ideally located for exploring the Lakes, the attractive seaside town of Grange over Sands is also nearby (3.5 miles), with its shops, delightful promenade, and amazing coastal views. From the cottage, you can walk over the fell to Grange, or stroll into Cartmel. The southern tip of Lake Windermere is just 4.5 miles away and Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, and Coniston are all within 22 miles. This beautiful, newly renovated 17th century country cottage combines lovely old features with contemporary comfort and style, designed to make your stay as cosy as it can be. Boasting a restored inglenook fireplace, oak beams, historic features, and a wood burner, it s a tranquil setting in which to relax on the comfortable Chesterfield sofas (two two seaters and a three seater) or fireside chair with a book. The Smart TV makes it perfect for film nights in front of a crackling log fire. The dining area also oozes charm and character and has splendid oak furniture to set the scene for memorable family gatherings and meals, prepared in the adjoining kitchen. Here, there is an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, and dishwasher. In addition, there is a utility room with a washer/dryer. Before heading upstairs, you will find the bathroom with its bath, shower and WC. Past the ancient oak door and up the stairs, there is the master bedroom with a super king size bed, a bunk room, and completing the property is the final bedroom, also with a super king size bed. Outside, you can enjoy a luxury private garden less than 15 meters away from the cottage across a courtyard, with a lawned area, a BBQ to dine alfresco, a hot tub to relax in, and seating to take in views of beautiful Hampsfell. After a day exploring one of England s finest destinations, return to the joy of relaxing in the garden, ideally with a glass of something cold to soak up the amazing atmosphere.
