This stone built family holiday home is located within the beautiful grounds of Ellingham Hall where you can enjoy a stroll in the woodland and watch the children play in the nearby treehouse play park and the friendly village pub with a restaurant is a short walk. Head to nearby Beadnell Bay (7 miles) for rock pooling and walks on the sandy beach. Eat in the beach café, the village pub and restaurants, or the café/bistro. Relax with a picnic or try kite and windsurfing lessons. The coastal path takes you to bustling Seahouses harbour for boat trips to the Farne Islands and Low Newton by the Sea for drinks in the beachside pub. Explore Bamburgh Castle (7.5 miles) with its expansive, white sandy beach and renowned eateries, Holy Island or stunning Alnwick Castle and Gardens (8.5 miles). Step through the front porch where you can hang your coats and into the hallway. The open plan kitchen/diner is the first room you come to with windows and French doors overlooking the rear garden and flooded in natural light. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals in this sociable space with a large family dining table with seating for six. There is a Smart TV so you can listen to music while cooking or children can watch some TV while dinner is being prepared. Two steps lead down into the sunroom with a couple of easy chairs and comfortable sofa, perfect for relaxing quietly with a book and your favourite drink or watching the birdlife in the garden. A utility room is located off the hallway with a washing machine, freezer and useful sink and there is room to dry clothes and store equipment. A door at the far end of the hallway leads to a private area for the light and airy ground floor bedroom with a king size bed, dual aspect windows and a separate area with a built in wardrobe. The contemporary bathroom completes this floor. Head upstairs to the spacious lounge/games room with plenty of comfortable seating, a Smart TV for entertainment, and the electric wood burner style heater adds to the cosy ambience in the evenings. At one end of the lounge area, there is a table football game so you can enjoy a fun competition during your stay. Two further bedrooms lead off from the lounge, a generous twin bedroom comprising two double beds, a comfortable sofa and an en suite. On the opposite side of the lounge, a door opens to a private area for the second king size bedroom with lovely garden views from each of the three windows and finally the second bathroom. Outside, there is a garden to the front next to the private driveway and to the rear, a lawned garden and patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ for dining alfresco, and you may well see a friendly peacock or two strutting around the garden ready to show off their beautiful plumage. Extend your evenings outside stargazing in the officially Dark Skies.
