Gwynedd

6

Situated in Gwynedd, Wales, this thoughtfully designed vacation home offers a tranquil retreat just a stone's throw from the coast, accommodating up to six guests across three well-appointed bedrooms. The owners, who built the house themselves, have infused it with personal touches to create a welcoming atmosphere that feels like a home away from home. The property boasts underfloor heating throughout its three floors, ensuring a cozy environment, and features expansive triple-glazed bi-fold doors in the living area that flood the space with natural light. These doors open onto a decked balcony that provides stunning views of the sea, Shell Island, and the Llyn Peninsula, making it an ideal spot for enjoying breathtaking sunsets with a drink.

The top floor of the house includes three bedrooms: two doubles and a twin, which conveniently features an additional single trundle bed, accommodating up to three guests if needed. A family bathroom on this floor is equipped with a bath, corner shower, basin, and heated towel radiator, while the master bedroom benefits from an ensuite shower room. The main living area is designed as an open-plan L-shaped kitchen, dining, and lounge space, complemented by a separate study room that includes a TV and a comfortable sofa bed for those seeking a quiet retreat. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with high-end appliances, including a dishwasher, induction hob, double oven, and integrated microwave, and features a dining table that can comfortably seat six, with the option to extend for larger gatherings.

On the lower ground floor, guests will find a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a snug TV room and an additional WC. This level also includes a boiler room, providing a warm space for drying coats. The property allows for flexibility in occupancy, with a nominal fee for additional guests wishing to use the trundle bed or sofa bed. However, it is important to note that the property is not suitable for parties or gatherings beyond the authorized guest count, and only older children are permitted, as bookings with children under eight years old will not be accepted.

Outside, the home features a well-maintained garden and a seating area, along with ample off-road parking for multiple vehicles. The owners have ensured that the property remains smoke-free, including the balcony area, and have recently updated the interiors with new carpets in the bedrooms. While the integral garage is not available for general use due to personal storage, arrangements can be made for guests with bicycles. Located in the picturesque area of Dyffryn Ardudwy, the home is close to local landmarks and attractions, including Ty Crwyn and Barmouth Bridge, as well as recreational spots like Go Ape at Coed y Brenin, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for visitors.
