The layout of Esthwaite is thoughtfully designed across three floors. On the ground floor, guests are welcomed into a hallway that leads to an open-plan living area and kitchen/diner, equipped with modern conveniences including a TV with a basic Sky package, a DVD player, and a CD/Hi-Fi system. The kitchen is fully equipped with essential appliances such as a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine, alongside a useful under-stairs cupboard for additional storage.
On the first floor, guests will find two well-appointed bedrooms: one with twin beds and another featuring full-size bunk beds, perfect for children. This floor also includes a shower room, complete with a shower, toilet, and heated towel rail for added comfort. The second floor houses the master double bedroom, which boasts an en-suite bath and toilet, providing a private retreat for guests. Esthwaite's name is derived from the nearby Esthwaite Water, known for its excellent trout fishing and surrounded by various Lakeland waters that attract outdoor enthusiasts. The cottage's location offers easy access to the natural beauty of the Lake District National Park and Yorkshire Dales National Park, as well as cultural attractions like the Old Laundry Theatre and Armitt Museum and Gallery. Families will also appreciate nearby attractions such as Treetop Trek and Holehird Gardens. For added convenience, parking is available on the road via a residents' permit, and a highchair can be hired for a small fee, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
