And if you don’t get lucky with a catch you can always enjoy some food from the café by the sand dunes.
Within walking distance is Llanfair Slate Caverns and Farm Park, just down the road brings you to the village of Harlech, perched dramatically on a rocky outcrop with its Edward I built castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here there are pubs, cafés, the worlds steepest street, as verified by Guinness World Records in 2019, and a spectacular sandy beach. Golfing can also be enjoyed at Royal St David’s. This nationally and internationally renowned golf course has stunning views of the historic Harlech Castle and is ranked in the top 100 golf courses in the world. Explore the coastline using the Cambrian Coast railway line, visit Porthmadog, home to the famous Ffestiniog Railway, or nearby Portmeirion, whilst the quarry town of Blaenau Ffestiniog now has plenty to attract visitors with Zipworld and Bounce Below providing thrills for all the family.
