The village has an abundance of footpaths and country walks, a village store and Post Office and a welcoming free house that has good beers, wine and a menu for all tastes. Featured in the Domesday Book, nearby Lyme Regis has historic streets to explore and an excellent choice of independent shops, pubs, restaurants and stylish cafés. Learn about the history and geology of the coastline, visit the famous Cobb and harbour, try your hand at fossil hunting, walk the famous Hardy Trail or Smuggler's Trail or simply take a leisurely stroll along the promenade and soak up the fabulous views. Other attractions in the area include the Marine Aquarium, a local award winning brewery, mackerel fishing trips, River Cottage HQ and Canteen as well as sheltered coves and long sandy beaches. Within a short drive are Seaton Tramway, Sidmouth, Chesil Beach and Abbotsbury Swannery, to name but a few. This charming detached house nestles in a quiet village location and offers lovely, spacious accommodation. Stepping into the entrance hallway, on the ground floor is a well equipped kitchen with an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is also a useful utility room next to the kitchen which has a washing machine, as well as a downstairs shower room with WC. A step down from the kitchen leads you into the conservatory where you can take a seat and relax with a good book and morning cuppa or enjoy relaxed meals around the dining table. Across the entrance hall is the spacious and light lounge/dining room which runs from the front to the back of the cottage. There is ample space to dine around the dining table and the lounge area is a lovely spot to retire to after a hearty meal. Here you can unwind in front of the TV/DVD or step out onto the decked balcony area which overlooks the garden. Heading upstairs to the first floor are three well presented bedrooms, a king size, a twin and a single. Completing the first floor is the large bathroom which has a shower over the bath and WC. French doors lead out from the lounge on to the decked balcony which has a table and chairs and views over the garden and beyond. Steps from the balcony lead down to the enclosed rear lawn area with seating, a perfect spot for al fresco drinks and meals. There is also a small enclosed garden area to the side of the property with seating which can be accessed via steps from the conservatory. Off road parking is available outside the cottage for two cars.
