Cloughton lies on the stunning East Yorkshire coast and on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and just under 5 miles to the bustling seaside town of Scarborough. The village has a couple of traditional country pubs, and there is a well stocked post office in the next village along. The popular Cleveland Way is within walking distance of the property stretching along the coastline hugging the clifftop, passing Hayburn Wyke, a rocky cove with a waterfall a perfect spot for a picnic. Trek along the 'Cinder Track', a disused 23 mile long railway track, now used for walking, cycling and horse riding. There are several child friendly activities and many excellent visitor attractions for grown ups too, including the Scarborough Sealife Centre, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Alpamare Waterpark, all within 4 miles. Whitby, Robin Hood s Bay and Ravenscar are all with 15 miles too. Step inside this delightful, terraced cottage arranged over three floors and be welcomed by the cosy sitting room with a wood burner at its heart and plenty of comfy seats for everyone. The decor is stylish and homely, and you'll feel right at home sitting back, warmed by the heat of the wood burner while watching a movie on the Smart TV which has access to a number of apps including Netflix. Rustle up a home cooked meal in the well equipped kitchen providing good quality appliances including an electric hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, serve up your feast and dine at the breakfast bar. There is a handy utility area providing a washer/dryer and a practical space for wet coats, muddy boots and dogs drying off after a walk along the beach. When it's time for bed, head upstairs to find a lovely bedroom featuring a super king size zip and link bed (can be made into a twin on request). Across the landing is a beautiful bathroom with a roll top bath, separate shower and WC. Up the second set of stairs brings you to two more bedrooms, step up into a king size with a view of Goosedale Moor and a single room both enjoy views to the moors and the sea on the opposite side. The rear courtyard is a nice quiet space in which to enjoy your morning coffee. There is a store to lock up your muddy wellies and bikes, and there s a handy side gate where you can access a footpath that leads you straight onto a cricket pitch and Goosedale Moor. There is unrestricted on street parking directly outside (subject to availability).
