Set in the historic town of Kendal this cottage offers everything you need for your break. Kendal itself has a rich heritage along with plenty of shops and eateries to choose from right on your doorstep. The vibrant town of Windermere is only a short drive or train ride away and is a great place to enjoy the many cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops. From there you can head down to Bowness, Ambleside or Lake Windermere and take a tour of the lake via the steamboats, or for the more adventurous hire your own kayaks. The Lyth Valley with its natural tranquillity and great walking, you will be spoiled by the choice of gastro pubs and restaurants in the immediate area and is only a few miles away. Through the front door we find ourselves in the spacious kitchen/diner. The kitchen has everything you require to cook up a storm with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge is to your right which still retains many of the property s original beams, lovely exposed brick work and is enhanced by a glass sloping roof at the back, which creates a warm and bright atmosphere. There is a leather sofa and two armchairs, surrounding the flame effect gas fire and Smart TV, which is perfect to kick back and watch a movie. Up to the first floor, on your right, is the first bedroom with king size bed and en suite shower and WC. To the left are the single and double bedrooms plus the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Outside you will find a patio area with seating and gas BBQ. There is a parking permit for one car, which covers numerous Lake District car parks. A second permit can be purchased locally for a week.
