Hawkshead is a popular Lakeland village, with celebrated connections to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. The village pubs both make great spots to enjoy a long lunch, or a cosy pint, while those who are looking to find out more about the heritage of the area will enjoy visiting the village s National Trust properties. Of course, the real draw of the region is the stunning landscape, and Lake Windermere is just two miles from the cottage. To enter this property, guests first cross the low wall via several steps which act as a stile, giving access to the front courtyard. Once inside, the hallway brings guests to the welcoming lounge, with its cosy wood burner, soft sofas, Smart TV and DVD player. The property s kitchen/diner has underfloor heating, perfect first thing in the morning, and a dining table seating six. It is well equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine is kept in a separate nearby cupboard. A door from the kitchen gives access to the patio garden. One of the property s bedroom is located on the ground floor, a beautifully styled, romantic room with a vaulted ceiling, elegant understated furniture, chandelier light, and a double bed. This room benefits from its own TV/DVD player, as well an en suite bathroom with a large corner bath, handheld shower, and WC. Open tread stairs lead from the lounge up to the first floor, where there is a pretty single bedroom and a sleek, contemporary shower room. Quite steep and narrow steps take guests to the second floor where the final bedroom is located. This room is a beautiful loft room, with sloping ceilings, skylight windows, a double bed, dressing table, and Smart TV/DVD. Outside the property, there are two patio areas, with table and chairs, where guests are able to enjoy alfresco drinks and meals. Nearby off road parking is provided for two cars.
