Great Ryburgh, Norfolk

5

Great Ryburgh, a picturesque village in Norfolk, offers a delightful base for exploring the stunning countryside of the East of England. Nestled near the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this charming location is perfect for nature enthusiasts and those seeking a tranquil retreat. Visitors can enjoy the nearby Raptor watch point, where they can frequently observe various birds of prey, including buzzards, hobbies, and sparrowhawks. The village is conveniently located close to the bustling market towns of Fakenham and Dereham, as well as the beautiful coastal towns of Hunstanton, Wells next the Sea, Sheringham, and Brancaster, making it an ideal spot for both inland and coastal explorations.

The cottage itself is a welcoming country retreat that comfortably accommodates up to five guests. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious and airy lounge, featuring ample seating, a TV/DVD, and a cozy flame effect gas fire set within a large inglenook fireplace. This inviting space is perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. The adjoining kitchen/diner is bright and well-equipped, boasting a charming dining area that can seat up to eight people. The kitchen includes modern appliances such as an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge, while a separate laundry room houses additional amenities like a washing machine and freezer.

Accessed via steep, twisty stairs, the first floor of the cottage features three comfortable bedrooms: a king-size double room, a twin room, and a single room. The upstairs bathroom is equipped with a free-standing roll-top bath and a double walk-in shower, complemented by a WC and wash hand basin. It is important to note that the cottage has some low ceilings, particularly in the upper areas, which may pose a challenge for taller guests or those with mobility issues.

Outside, the property boasts a beautifully maintained garden that spans half an acre and backs onto a river, providing a peaceful setting for relaxation and wildlife observation. Guests can unwind in a hammock or enjoy the views from the deck while surrounded by lush shrubs, planted beds, and a well-kept lawn. The garden is fully enclosed, ensuring privacy and security, with access to the river available through a gate. Additionally, off-road parking is provided for two cars at the front of the cottage, enhancing the convenience of this delightful country escape.
