Askrigg, one of the Yorkshire Dales most popular villages. Known as Darrowby in the TV series 'All Creatures Great and Small' where it was filmed. The cottage is perfectly placed for you to enjoy the pubs, restaurants and shops of this thriving village in the glorious Yorkshire Dales National Park all within walking distance. If you want to venture further, head towards neighbouring pretty villages Hawes, Aysgarth and see the falls, Bainbridge, Middleham where there are an abundance of walking pathways and miles of cycling routes. This superb cottage is a fantastic base from which to explore all that Wensleydale and Swaledale have to offer. This cottage is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, behind its pretty cream exterior is a delightful home from home, which is absolutely crammed with character and comfort. It has been renovated beautifully, whilst retaining all of the stone built charm of its heritage in the 1800 s. Enter into a small entrance porch, ideal place for wet boots and coats which leads through into the warm and welcoming lounge at the front of the cottage with its beamed ceiling, oak floors, comfortable seating, Sky TV/DVD, iPod docking station and multi fuel burner. A door from the lounge leads to the spacious farmhouse style kitchen/diner with a beamed ceiling, an dining table. Equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Completing the ground floor is the separate WC and a contemporary shower room with shower and WC. When it's time to retire for the night, choose from three comfortable bedrooms, one king size, one double with pretty views over gardens and to the hills beyond and one single bedroom. There is a further bathroom with bath and WC. To the rear of the cottage there is a small private walled patio garden with furniture. Whilst the cottage does not have a designated parking place, there is roadside (subject to availability).
