Shooting is available locally when in season, but advance booking is essential.
The nearby World Heritage Town of Tavistock is a short 15-minute drive and is the gateway to exploring Dartmoor. It provides a wide variety of pubs, restaurants, shops, banks and its famous Pannier Market is a must for the first-time visitor. More locally, within a five minute walk, the village has two pubs and two hotels including the famous Arundell Arms Hotel. Also located in the village is the award-winning and highly popular Strawberry Fields farm shop offering a restaurant and coffee shop serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas.
