Tom's Cottage, located just outside Dalton-in-Furness in Cumbria, is a charming self-contained holiday retreat that accommodates up to five guests. Part of the former Park Cottage Guest House, this cottage boasts a serene rural setting with stunning views of Burlington Trout Lake and the southern Lake District fells. The property features an enclosed front garden and a courtyard area at the rear, both furnished with outdoor seating, providing a perfect space for relaxation. Guests can enjoy free internet access and are required to book stays of either seven or fourteen nights, exclusively from Saturday to Saturday.

The cottage comprises three well-appointed bedrooms and two bathrooms, along with an additional downstairs WC. The first bedroom includes a double bed and an en suite shower room, while the second features a king-sized bed and an ante-room that serves as a dressing area, leading to a bathroom equipped with both a bath and a walk-in shower. The third bedroom is a cozy single room with skylights, accommodating one guest. Notably, the minimum age for children is set at eight years, ensuring a peaceful environment for all visitors.

Inside, the lounge is characterized by a log-burner nestled in a traditional inglenook fireplace, complemented by comfortable leather sofas and a local grandfather clock. Each double bedroom is equipped with a TV and DVD player, while the kitchen/diner is fully stocked with modern appliances, including a gas oven, dishwasher, and washing machine. The dining room accommodates six guests, and a sun-room with large windows offers a delightful space to enjoy the view of the garden and woodland, especially on sunny days.

Outside, the cottage provides convenient car parking for two vehicles and features an enclosed garden at the front along with a private courtyard at the rear, accessible through French doors from the kitchen/diner. This outdoor area is perfect for al fresco dining, complete with a barbecue and dining furniture. The surrounding region is rich in cultural attractions, including the Dock Museum and the Laurel and Hardy Museum, while outdoor enthusiasts can explore hiking, biking trails, and opportunities for sailing and fishing nearby, making Tom's Cottage an ideal base for a variety of activities.
