The lodge's name, derived from an old term for a linen box or treasure chest, reflects its cozy and inviting atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy complete privacy, as the owners reside 100 meters away and are available if needed, but otherwise allow guests to fully immerse themselves in their tranquil surroundings.
The Kist features a stylish open-plan living area, highlighted by a large deck and a panoramic window that provides stunning views of the countryside. Guests can relax and unwind while observing local wildlife, such as deer, that may graze in the garden. The lodge is conveniently located near Glasgow, allowing guests to experience the cultural and shopping opportunities of the city, while also being close to some of Scotland's most breathtaking landscapes, including Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Historic sites like Stirling Castle are also easily accessible, making it a great base for exploring the region.
Inside, The Kist boasts modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen with an integrated fridge freezer, dishwasher, wine chiller, and washing machine, catering to all the needs of guests.
