Rose Barn

Shelley, Suffolk

4

Rose Barn, located in the picturesque village of Shelley, Suffolk, offers a delightful retreat for couples or families seeking to explore the serene landscapes of rural Suffolk. This tastefully restored barn accommodates up to four guests and features open-plan double bedrooms situated on mezzanine balconies, providing stunning views of the surrounding Constable countryside. The main living area is designed for comfort and relaxation, creating a homely atmosphere that enhances the overall experience of the stay.

The property is characterized by its charming rose-covered exterior and is accessed through an inviting swimming pool area, which is available for guest use from May to September. Guests can enjoy the pool for one hour each day on a non-exclusive basis, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. However, it is important to note that the property is not ideally suited for young children under eight years old or individuals with mobility issues due to the steep spiral staircases leading to the bedrooms.

In addition to the tranquil setting, Rose Barn offers a variety of activities for guests to enjoy, including scenic walks, cycling routes, and nearby golf courses, such as the 36-hole Stoke-by-Nayland course located just four miles away. Guests can also arrange for personal training, yoga sessions, and tennis coaching, as well as wine tasting experiences for an additional fee. These options provide a unique opportunity to enhance the stay and engage with the local community.

Safety is a priority, as the property opens onto an unfenced swimming pool, and guests are advised to monitor children closely. The owners of Rose Barn emphasize that the use of the swimming pool is at guests' own risk and they cannot accept responsibility for any accidents or injuries. Additionally, the barn is adjacent to another converted barn, Court Barn, which accommodates six guests, making it suitable for larger gatherings if both properties are booked together. Please note that pets are not allowed, and children under eight years are not permitted to stay.
