Riverdale House is a charming three-storey residence located in the serene countryside of Linton Falls, near Grassington, in the North of England. This beautifully presented property accommodates up to four guests, making it an ideal retreat for families and friends looking to escape to the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park. The home features a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing and enjoying meals together, and a cozy dining area where guests can celebrate their holiday. The inviting sitting room offers a relaxing space to unwind, with options for reading, playing games, or watching television, complemented by a stylish gas-fired stove for warmth on cooler evenings.
Ascending to the upper floors, visitors will discover two spacious and plush bedrooms that provide flexibility for various guest arrangements. The first-floor bedroom can be configured as either a super-king size bed or two single beds upon request, while the second-floor bedroom serves as a luxurious retreat with a king-size bed and four skylight Velux windows, allowing guests to stargaze from the comfort of their room. Both bedrooms feature bright and airy en-suite bathrooms equipped with walk-in showers, basins, and WCs, while an unusually spacious main bathroom offers a free-standing bath for indulgent soaks.
For added convenience, Riverdale House includes a utility room with a basin and WC, along with coat and boot racks near the back entrance. A study nook in the kitchen allows guests to catch up on work or simply enjoy the super-fast Wi-Fi available throughout the property. Outside, a bistro table and chairs provide a delightful spot to relax and savor the fresh Yorkshire air. The stunning Linton Falls, the largest falls on the River Wharfe, is just a short distance from the cottage, enhancing the natural beauty of the area.
Situated on a quiet no-through road, Riverdale House is conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the historic 12th-century St Michael’s & All Angels church and the scenic ancient stepping stones along the River Wharfe. For dining options, guests can enjoy local cuisine at The Fountaine Inn in Linton or explore the diverse selection of eateries in Grassington village, including The Devonshire Arms and Grassington House. For those seeking a fine dining experience, the Michelin-starred Angel at Hetton is less than a ten-minute drive away. Originally built as part of a row of former mill cottages in the late Victorian era, Riverdale House underwent extensive remodeling in 2020 and was completely refurnished in 2024, ensuring a blend of historic charm and modern comfort.
