Town: The seaside community of Carbis Bay is well renowned for its magnificent stretch of pure white sand, which is only a short drive from iconic St Ives. The beach feels almost subtropical, with turquoise waters and protected conditions, and is ideal for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The Ocean Sports Centre is located on the beach, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and venture out on the ocean instead. Alternatively, why not book a Spa day at the charming hotel that overlooks the beach and has a great patio where you can sip cocktails while basking in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay features a few local businesses and restaurants, as well as a fish and chip shop and a railway branch line.
Located in St Ives, this cottage is by the sea. Wayside Museum and St. Michael's Mount are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at West Cornwall Golf Club and St Ives Harbour. Ready for a night out? Consider Acorn Theatre and Gwennap Pit. Break out the clubs and hit the links with a golf course nearby, or seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and cycling.
