Region: Combining the best of country and coast, the East Riding of Yorkshire consists mostly of majestic chalk landscapes across the Yorkshire Wolds and is particularly popular for a country escape with a wealth of wildlife. Towards the coast, the area is ripe with bird life at RSPB Bempton Cliffs Seabird Centre and peaceful white sandy beaches. From vibrant market towns to ancient villages, there's plenty to explore.

Town: The village of Skipsea, which is located 10 miles south of Bridlington and 6 miles north of Hornsea, is in a generally rural environment surrounded by fertile agricultural area. It is also just one mile from the beach and near to the North Sea cliffs. The community boasts its own pub, hair salon, basic shop, and post office. Cobbles from the seashore are used in the construction of many of the village's homes, both ancient and new. The ruins of Skipsea Castle are located just outside the hamlet. The neighbouring seaside towns of Bridlington and Filey have long, sandy beaches and a variety of tourist attractions, while the surrounding countryside is ideal for walking and bicycling. Sledmere House, Burton Constable Hall, the Deep Submarium at Hull, and the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway at Pickering are all within 20 miles of Skipsea. The shops, cathedral, and museum of historic York, the resort town of Scarborough, and the North Yorks Moors Steam Railway at Pickering are all within an hour's drive, and Whitby is only a short distance away.

Located in Driffield, this mobile home is on the beach. Hornsea Museum and The Spa Bridlington are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Honeysuckle Farm and Humberside Shooting Ground. Treasure Island Mini Golf and Gala Bingo are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with rock climbing, hiking, and cycling nearby.
