Once a fisherman’s cottage, it features a vibrant coastal pop-art aesthetic that harmonizes traditional coastal charm with contemporary design. The cottage serves as an ideal base for couples, small families, or friends looking to explore the stunning North Norfolk coastline, with convenient access to local amenities.
The interior of the cottage boasts an open-plan living area that combines a bespoke wooden kitchen with a cozy sitting space. The kitchen is well-equipped with oak work surfaces, an integrated fridge with icebox, an electric oven with hob, and a Nespresso coffee machine, making it perfect for preparing meals. The adjoining seating area, complete with a plush sofa and two armchairs, centers around an inviting open fire, providing a warm atmosphere for relaxation after a day of exploration. On pleasant days, guests can open the rear door to the garden, allowing fresh air to circulate throughout the space.
Accessed by a traditional Norfolk winder staircase, which is steep and twisted, the first floor features two elegantly styled bedrooms. The master bedroom includes a double bed with views of the front, while the second bedroom is equipped with bunk beds, making it ideal for children and offering views of the rear garden. These bedrooms share a generously sized shower room, ensuring comfort and convenience for guests. The cottage also includes a fully enclosed courtyard garden, perfect for outdoor dining with a bistro table and chairs, as well as a secure area for pets to enjoy.
For added convenience, the cottage provides allocated off-road parking for one vehicle, with additional parking options available nearby. Guests can indulge in delicious breakfasts and light bites at the Thornham Deli, located directly opposite the cottage, which also offers takeaway coffees and deli treats. Norfolk Hideaways manages a total of four cottages in the same terrace, allowing for the possibility of renting multiple properties for larger gatherings. Notably, the cottage is pet-friendly, welcoming one well-behaved dog for a small additional charge, and all bedding provided is synthetic, catering to various guest preferences.
