The semi-detached cottages, including Nimbus, are positioned around the lighthouse, creating a cozy community atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a communal tarmac forecourt for parking at the front, while the rear features a shared grass area that is walled and fenced for safety, although it is recommended that this space not be used. The South West Coast Path runs along the headland, offering scenic walks toward Padstow, making it an ideal location for nature lovers and those seeking outdoor activities.

Guests at Nimbus Cottage are welcome to bring up to two well-behaved dogs for a small additional charge, and amenities such as travel cots and highchairs can be provided upon request. However, visitors should be aware of the limited mobile signal in the area, and a telephone with an honesty box is available for use. Additionally, access to the lighthouse is via narrow roads with limited passing places, and the heritage nature of the building means that certain features may not conform to modern standards, necessitating caution when navigating the property.
