The accommodation that we offer is a railway carriage and Living van. The Carriage has been restored retaining many authentic carriage details like chunky carriage handles, brass lamps, window straps, and sliding sash windows, combined with good quality modern comfort. The main saloon has a large seat which converts into a double bed and sleeps two people, a small dining table and chairs, and a fantastic fully restored French 'Monopole' circa 1910 coal stove, which will keep you warm on cold damp days and cold nights. A fully equipped kitchen with microwave/oven and 2 ring induction hob, sink fridge, and work surfaces provide ample space to cook for yourselves during your stay. The bathroom has normal water flush domestic type loo and electric shower.

The carriage sits within a small enclosed garden at the rear of the owner's cottage garden. The view is beautiful over meadow fields towards distant hills, with a spectacular view of the sunset.

As part of the letting, the carriage also shares within its own garden a Roadman's Van. similar to a shepherd's hut, but bigger. The van comes as part of the letting providing seating and a table by day and space for 2 single beds by night. Fantastic for children (over 4yrs), and adults alike.

The carriage and van are situated 5 miles from the Jurassic coast at West Bay. There are many good beaches within a 20-minute drive including Charmouth for fossil hunting, Lyme Regis, and Burton Bradstock. There is fantastic walking along the South West Coast Path or lovely inland walks near the carriage location. The area offers many places to explore including Bridport's many antique shops and a twice-weekly market. Mapperton House and gardens and Abbotsbury children's farm, gardens, and swannery.

Located in Bridport, this mobile home is in a rural area and near the beach. Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club and South West Coast Path Section 47 Trailhead are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Dorset and East Devon Coast and Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Mapperton Gardens and Abbotsbury Children's Farm are also worth visiting. Sailing and fishing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and horse riding nearby.
