One well-behaved dog welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price, along with a highchair and travel cot. You'll find a shop and a pub in 0.3 miles. Fellend House is a wonderful abode for a family break to Durham. Note: The staircase is quite steep; please take care.

The magnificent Raby Castle, where you may study its artefacts and tapestries, as well as the picturesque deer park, are both within easy driving distance of the settlement. Also nearby is the market town of Barnard Castle, which offers additional services and points of interest such the Bowes Museum, Egglestone Abbey, and the ruins of a mediaeval castle. Bishop Auckland is a nearby town that can be reached by car, and Durham, a wonderful city where you can spend time exploring the Romanesque Durham Cathedral and Norman Durham Castle.
