Valerian is a beautiful terraced cottage close to the centre of East Looe with stunning harbour, bridge and river views. Affectionately named by the owners, Valerian is a flowering plant that often grows in West Country coastal towns and the owner's grandfather and great-grandfather had a trawler in Brixham named the same. Valerian has been renovated throughout for the 2023 season. It has been finished to a high standard resulting in a welcoming space, the perfect base for a holiday in this beautiful part of Cornwall.To the front of the property is a furnished deck overlooking the river with views extending to the bridge and harbour. It gets the sun throughout the day and in to the evening in the Summer months and is the perfect spot to watch the boats coming and going whilst enjoying a cup of tea, a glass of wine or a little al fresco dining. Looe town centre is less than a five-minute walk with its numerous cafes, shops, restaurants, pubs, beach and boat trips to enjoy.The property is arranged over two floors. On the ground floor is a lounge/diner which is comfortably furnished with ample seating for four. The lounge area looks out over the deck and the river and has a Smart TV so cosy evenings in can be enjoyed. Also on the ground floor is the kitchen which is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher so nobody has to be on washing up duty this holiday!Upstairs are the two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom is a big room with king size bed, beautifully put together, and overlooking the river, it is a welcoming and relaxing room. To the rear of the first floor is the twin bedroom which is comfortably furnished and perfect for children but also works for adults. Lastly, the fully modernised bathroom is a striking room with bath and mixer shower over, wc, and wash hand basin.Valerian really is a little gem and also welcomes one well-behaved dog to join the family. Although there is no parking, luggage can be walked up from town or there is a local luggage delivery service available. Pete from Looe Luggage Services will collect your luggage from your car, with his quad bike and trailer, and can take it to your holiday home for a set cost of £8. Located in Looe, this vacation home is in a rural area and near the beach.
